Melandru's Arrows
Does the extra damage on Melandru's Arrows ignore armor?

Doesnt look like it from my uses of Melandru's Arrows.
But this does bring a point up - Anet sometimes hides features of skills :\ I wish some effects were worded better. |

Well from what I've noticed from other attack skills is that they will say "Strikes for an additional X damage". Even when an enemy's normal attack hits me for 0 damage, when it uses an attack skill it deal the full +damage granted by that skill. I would assume Melandru's Arrow is no exception to this.

I dont think his question is whether the damage is factored into the first hit (like a Power Shot) or additional daamge (like kindle arrows) - he asked if it ignored armor (like always hit what it says no matter their armor). Which I do not think is the case.
As for the second question posed - you are right, Skills that do +x dmg are factored into the original number. If it says additional X dmg - it is seperate. |
